What is Heroity?
What are Campaigns?
Campaigns ends when a set scheduled time period has expired and if the minimum donation goal has been met during that scheduled time period for that particular campaign. Campaigns scheduled time periods can differ per campaigns; for example 1 month, 3 months or whatever the determined scheduled time period listed on that certain Campaign. Information on when the campaign ends will be on that the campaign page. Campaigns have limited and unlimited rewards but has unlimited paid entries available. Campaigns does have a minimum donation goal that needs to be reached during the campaigns scheduled time period. Campaigns can be extended if the minimum donation goal has not been met to cover the cost of expenses (donations, cost of rewards, prizes and the fees). Examples: If a campaign that has a $5000 minimum donation goal with a 3 month scheduled time period has reached or exceeded its donation goal by the end of the 3 month time period; then the campaign will end. Or if a campaign that has a $5000 minimum donation goal with a 3 month scheduled time period has not reached its minimum donation goal by the end of the 3 month time period; then the campaign can be extended at least 1 month or more until it reaches its minimum campaign goal. The minimum goal will be on the campaign page.

All information personal or otherwise that is collected by Heroity is stored on servers that Heroity manages, using up to date security procedures and up to date practices appropriate to the protection of any and all information. Heroity encrypts your confidential information in transit using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 256 bits . Heroity has the highest level commercially security available so your info is always secure and always private.

Why is registering necessary?
Registering for Heroity makes it easier for you to use the site. By registering and creating a profile, you can track campaigns you have entered in and edit your account details securely. You can also elect to receive our newsletter of active campaigns and up to date information by submitting your email address. You may opt out anytime.
How do I enter a sweepstakes to win an experience or prize?
There are three ways to enter each of our campaigns. The first is by making a donation to support the affiliated cause, and as a gift you’ll receive entries into the campaign and even a thank you gift based on the tier of the campaign. The second is through what we call the free Alternative Method of Entry, or AME, which is free of charge. Entering for free: Visit heroity.com, choose the campaign that interest you and email at [email protected] (Subject Line: add the name of the campaign) (Body of Email: add your name / phone number /email) before the deadline of the sweepstakes. That will give you 1 single free entry. The third is another free Alternative Method of Entry, or AME, which is free of charge. Entering for free is to click on Back Campaign Button located on each campaign. It will get you to the cart for $0.00 and you can process the free entry without any charge. What are the age restrictions for entrants?
Yes. depending on the nature of the particular campaign; age restrictions will vary between 13+, 16+, 18+, and 21+. For any experience winners that are younger than the age of majority in his/her place of residence must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian. For further details and restrictions see the official rules for each campaign.
How do I pay for voluntary donations?
Major credit and debit cards are accepted by using Paypal.
Is it require to pay to enter Heroity’s Campaigns?
No. Heroity has a “no purchase/donation necessary” policy. Users can enter campaigns without donating. Donating will not increase your chances of winning. One properly submitted free entry form typically provides 50 entries, which is the same amount of entries a user would receive for a $5 donation, and users can submit more than one free entry form. The max of entries is 10,000 per person per campaign regardless if it is free entry or by paid donations. Full details can be found in the campaign-specific terms and conditions.
How are winners notify if they have won a prize?
Winners will be notified by email shortly after the campaign entry period closes; usually 10 -14 days. In order to be named the winner; they must confirm their eligibility to win and the prize must be accepted by the deadline indicated in the email.
Important: We will make 3 attempt’s to email and call you if phone number is available. If we are not able to reach you after the 3rd attempt, we will choose another winner.
How is my payment secure on the Heroity site?
Payment processing including payment details that are transmitted on Heroity’s website is transmitted by Paypal; Paypal systems are Level 1 PCI Compliant and are the highest level of security and compliance. Please check out www.paypal.com for more details.
What is the refund policy for Heroity?
Because donations got to charity; All donations made through Heroity are final and nonrefundable.
Is any of my donations that I make on Heroity tax-deductible?
Donations benefiting a 501(c)(3) organization are tax-deductible in the US to the extent permitted by law. Please contact a tax professional for details on deducting your donation.
Why isn’t my payment going through?
If your payment failed or if you get a message that states “failed payment” telling you that your card was declined or if it states that the CVV code was not entered correctly; please go back to the check out page and try again or to campaign page if needed. Please make sure your payment info is correct and up to date.If payment process keeps failing, try using a different up to date browser.
Will I receive a transaction confirmation email?
For any donation you choose to make you will receive an email regarding a transaction confirmation. Please check your spam and/or promotional folders just in case your email forward the message to“junk” folder. If you still don’t see your transaction confirmation email in your spam folder; please contact us at [email protected] if you don’t see your transaction confirmation email in your spam or inbox folder.
How do I know if I am eligible to win one of your campaigns?

How does Heroity choose a winner?
You can enter the sweepstakes by donating or by free entry; once entered you will receive entries into the sweepstakes. You can check your entries in your Heroity account after activation. Once all entries for the competition have been entered and the entry period has closed; our random number generator software will choose a random winner.
What is the confirmation process for the winner at Heroity?
Within 10-14 business days of campaign close, we’ll use an automated random drawing process to draw a potential winner(s) for that campaign.
Winners are typically announced around 10-14 business days after the campaign has closed, although the exact duration of the winner confirmation process will vary with each campaign. We always reach out to potential winners to confirm their legal name before running a background check (if the campaign is an experience or big prize that is needed legal info). We will contact potential winners via email and/or phone and/or Skype call.
Important: We will make 3 attempt’s to email and call you if phone number is available. If we are not able to reach you after the 3rd attempt, we will choose another winner.
Once the winner confirmation process has been completed, we will send out an email to all the entrants of the experience with the details of the winner! If you win an experience, we will manage the travel and accommodations as well as coordinate with the talent partner (when applicable) or event (when applicable).
A confirmation process, which may include a background check (when applicable), will then take place to ensure the potential winner meets the legal standards required. Winner and, if applicable, their guest(s) agree to cooperate fully with Heroity to conducting any background check(s), which includes providing information requested by Heroity including, but not limited to, full legal names and addresses.
If the Prize includes meeting a celebrity, meeting a public figure, or attending a special event and any background check indicates, in Heroity’s sole discretion, that the potential winner or the potential winner’s guest(s) pose a danger to or may harm the reputation of any person or entity involved in the sweepstakes, Heroity may disqualify said winner and move on to the next randomly drawn potential winner. Pending a positive outcome of the confirmation process, an Heroity representative will notify the potential winner via email and/or phone. The potential winner must respond within the time period designated in the notification, or Heroity may move on to another randomly drawn potential winner. Before confirming a potential winner as the winner, Heroity may require the potential winner to confirm their eligibility. Once that’s done, the potential winner and guest(s) must execute and return all required documents within the time frame specified by Heroity . If you do not execute and return all required documents within the time frame specified by Heroity , you will forfeit the Prize and Heroity will move on to another randomly drawn potential winner.
Travel companions are also required to sign a liability/publicity release prior to issuance of tickets. Additionally, travel companions/guests of the winner may be subject to a background check, which may impact their ability to participate in the prize.
What is the probability of winning a sweepstakes?
This all depends on how many people enter a particular campaign and how much prizes are being rewarded. If more than one winner is selected for a campaign prize; then your chances of winning the campaign prize will increase. And of course the more entries you submit then your chances of winning increase.
For each entry equals to one chance at winning, so the probability of winning the campaign prize (assuming only one prize is offered) will be the number one divided by the number of entries for that particular campaign.
How many people win each prize in the Heroity campaigns?
At times there will be one campaign prize awarded, but in sometimes there are multiple prizes that will be awarded. Each campaign page will specify the campaign prizes and number of prizes to be awarded. Please check each individual campaign for the details. If the winner wins a experience campaign (travel or event prize) then typically the winner(s) will usually be allowed to bring at one guest. Details are explained in the Official Rules of each campaign.
If I win an experience; is travel and accommodation included in the Heroity campaigns?
Some of our experience campaigns may include air and/or ground transportation and/or accommodation for the winners. Please check the Official Rules of the specific campaign you are interested in for full details.
How much of the campaign revenue from the donations goes to the charity?
20% of what’s raised is remitted to the charitable beneficiary unless noted otherwise on the individual campaign page. Because we are a newer company it is our goal to grow and expand the company so in the future we can give away bigger and better prizes; also give charities a higher percentage rate of the net raised.
How do I know when the drawing of the sweepstakes I enter will happen?
Campaigns typically has a deadline that normally can arrange from 30-90 days but can be longer. Please look at each individual campaign page that will state what the that particular set deadline for that campaign.
Heroity will conduct a random sweepstakes drawing within 10-14 business days of an campaign closing. Heroity will then complete the winner confirmation process.
After the winner confirmation process has been completed and the winner notified; we will send out an email to all entrants of the campaign with the name of the winner! Can a deadline for a campaign be extended?
Yes, we do reserve the right to extend a deadline; most likely reason would be if we had not raised enough money for the charity, rewards and/or prize. We do not foresee this ever becoming a issue but just in case we would notify all who has enter that particular campaign by email regarding the update information and deadline date.
Is it require to pay taxes if I win a prize?
Winners that receive a Prize with an approximate retail value of $600 or more is required to fill out a W-9 form so that the prize winnings are reported the to the government and will be issued a Form 1099. The winner might be responsible for any applicable taxes for some campaigns. It is the winners responsibility to report any winnings that value under $600 to the government.
For the vehicle campaign , the sales tax is prepaid up to 25% of the ARV (Approximate Retail Value), will be paid by Heroity to the winner. The ARV will be listed for each individual vehicle campaign on the campaign page. Rules may vary for each campaign, please read the rules for each individual campaign you wish to enter.
What is the estimated time for me to receive my reward or prize?
It takes about 4–16 weeks after the campaign you donated to has closed for the rewards and prizes to ship out. This includes the Digital Thank You Cards and Videos that will be sent to the email address you provided when you donated.
Regarding the wait: We have to make sure everything is collected at the end of a campaign, so all the prizes and rewards are sent at the same time. This is less cost for us and means more money for the charity. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Certain items like signed celebrity merchandise could take a little longer time due to the celebrity busy schedule if it’s an item we do not have in hand already. You will be notified of any delays.
